設い大鬼神の つける人なりとも 日蓮をば 梵釈・日月・四天等・天照太神・八幡の守護し給う ゆへに ばつしがたかるべし と 存じ給うべし、
月月・日日につより給へ・すこしも たゆむ心あらば 魔 たより をうべし。
我等 凡夫の つたなさは 経論に有る事と 遠き事は おそるる心なし
たとい だいきじん の つける ひと なりとも にちれん をば ぼんしゃく・にちがつ・してんとう・てんしょうだいじん・はちまん の しゅご し たもう ゆへに ばっし がた かるべし とぞんじ たもうべし、
つきづき・ひび に つより たまへ・すこし も たゆむ こころ あらば ま たより をうべし、
われら ぼんぷ の つたなさ は きょうろん に ある こと と とおき こと は おそるる こころ なし

通解（意訳）
たとえ大鬼神が取りついている人であっても、日蓮を梵天・帝釈・日天・月天・四天王、天照太神・八幡大菩薩等、あらゆる諸天善神が守護されているゆえに、誰にも罰することはできないのだと確信していきなさい。
同じように、自分にも諸天の守護があるのだと確信して、月々日々に、常に信心を奮い起していきなさい。少しでも信心にゆるむ心が出てくれば、三障四魔がその心の隙をたよりにして、紛れて襲ってくるであろう。
我々凡夫の拙なさとして、経文に難が競うと説かれている事を常に教えているが、自分に大難が襲ってくる事などという事は、自分には縁遠い他人事として、大難を恐れる心がない。
これが信心の心が緩む一例であり、いざ自分に難が襲った時には、退転する原因となってしまうのである。

Not even a person possessed by a powerful demon, can harm Nichiren, because Brahmā, Shakra, the gods of the sun and moon, the four heavenly kings, the Sun Goddess, and Hachiman are safeguarding him.

We common mortals are so foolish that we do not fear either the warnings in the sutras and treatises, or those things that seem somewhat removed from us.
