闇の中に影あり人此をみず虚空に鳥の飛跡あり人此をみず - There are shadows in the darkness, but people cannot discern them. There are trails in the sky where birds fly, but people cannot recognize them.

通解（意訳）
　闇の中に影があっても、人はこれを見ることはできない。空には鳥の飛ぶ道があるが、人はこれを見ることはできない。大海に魚の泳ぐ道があるが、人はこれを見ることが出来ない。月の中に世界中の人々が一人もかけず映っているが、人はこれを見ることはできないのである。しかし天眼はこれを見ることができる。
　同じように、仏界の生命は凡夫の目には見えなくても、御本尊は厳然と御覧になっているのである。

English Gosho
 There are shadows in the darkness, but people cannot discern them. There are trails in the sky where birds fly, but people cannot recognize them. There are paths in the sea along which fish swim, but people cannot perceive them. All people and things of the four continents are reflected in the moon without a single exception, but people cannot see them. But they are visible to the heavenly eye.
[In the same way, ordinary people cannot see the Buddha nature. but, The GOHONZON sees it clearly. ]
