しばらくの苦こそ候とも・ついには・たのしかるべし、
国王一人の太子のごとし・いかでか位につかざらんと・おぼしめし候へ

通解（意訳）
しばらく苦しいことがあっても、先では必ず楽しみとなるのである。
たとえば国王の一人息子である太子が、必ず国王の位を継ぐように、我等もどうして成仏できないことがあろうかと思って、信心を根本に耐えなさい。

English Gosho
 Though we may suffer for a while, ultimately delight awaits us.
It is like the case of a crown prince, the only son of the king. Consider this: How can he possibly fail to ascend the throne?

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
