殿の御もちの時は悪の刀・今仏前へまいりぬれば善の刀なるべし、譬えば鬼の道心をおこしたらんが如し、あら不思議や不思議や、後生には此の刀を・つえとたのみ給うべし

通解（意訳）
 あなたが供養された二振りの名刀は、お持ちの時は人を殺める悪の刀であったが、今は仏前にきたのであるから、法華経の行者であるあなたを護り、過去の悪業を消滅させる善の刀となったのである。
 例えるならば、鬼が仏道心を発したようなものである。まことに不思議なことである。

来世では、この善刀を悪道に堕ちないように支える杖として、頼りにしなさい。


English Gosho
 While you wore it [The Two Cerebrated Sword] at your side, it was an evil sword, but now that it has been offered to the Buddha, it has become a sword for good, just like a demon who conceives a desire to attain the Buddha way.

 How wondrous, how wondrous! In the next life you should use this sword as your staff.

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
