此の経を持つ人は百人は百人ながら・千人は千人ながら・一人もかけず仏に成ると申す文なり - if there are a hundred or a thousand people who uphold this sutra, without a single exception all one hundred or one thousand of them will become Buddhas.

通解（意訳）
法華経には「もし法華経を聞く事が有る者は、一人として成仏しないことはない」（若有聞法者無一不成仏・にゃく．う． もんぽうしゃ．む．いち．ふ．じょうぶつ）と書かれている。

この文章の意味は、法華経を受持する人は、誰もが自身の無限の可能性を開き、幸福な境涯をつかむことができるという文なのである。

English Gosho
 The sutra states, “If there are those who hear the Law, then not a one will fail to attain Buddhahood.”

 This passage means that, if there are a hundred or a thousand people who uphold this sutra, without a single exception all one hundred or one thousand of them will become Buddhas.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
