通解（意訳）
日蓮が顕した御本尊は、日蓮の生命を削ってでも、すべての人々を救いたいという魂を墨に染め流して書き認めたものである。しっかりと信じ抜き、受持していきなさい。
釈尊が説いた真の法門は法華経であるが、諸法が乱立している末法においては、南無妙法蓮華経が真の法門であり、日蓮仏法の南無妙法蓮華経以外にはない。

I, Nichiren, have inscribed my life in sumi ink, so believe in the Gohonzon with your whole heart.
The Buddha’s will is the Lotus Sutra, but the soul of Nichiren is nothing other than Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

Interpretation (liberal translation) 
Nichiren wrote the GOHONZON with the soul that I want to save everyone even if I lose my life.
Believe this GOHONZON firmly and keeping on it.
Sakyamuni Buddha preached Lotus Sutra which is a true law.
However, in the latter age where various laws are mixed now, there are nothing other than Nam - Myoho - Renge - kyo of the Nichiren Buddhism. This is the only true law.
