釈迦仏多宝仏・十方の諸仏・菩薩・虚空にして二仏うなづき合い、定めさせ給いしは別の事には非ず、唯ひとへに末法の令法久住の故なり
釈迦仏・多宝仏・十方の諸仏・菩薩等、あらゆる仏菩薩達が集まり、虚空会の儀式において、釈迦仏と多宝仏の二人の仏がうなずきあい、その時に定められた（決めた）ことは、（一切衆生を仏にする事以外の）別のことではない。
唯（ただ）ひとえに、末法において、法華経の肝心である南無妙法蓮華経という、万人成仏のための立派な法（令法・りょうほう）を、釈尊滅度より久しく末法の世に住在させる（久住・くじゅう、令法久住・りょうほう くじゅう）のためであり、地涌の菩薩にその使命を託されたのである。

通解（意訳）釈迦仏・多宝仏・十方の諸仏・菩薩等、あらゆる仏菩薩達が集まり、虚空会の儀式において、釈迦仏と多宝仏の二人の仏がうなずきあい、その時に定められた（決めた）ことは、（一切衆生を仏にする事以外の）別のことではない。
