我並びに我が弟子・諸難ありとも 疑う心なくば自然に仏界にいたるべし、
天の加護なき事を疑はざれ 現世の安穏ならざる事をなげかざれ、
我が弟子に 朝夕 教えしかども・疑いを・をこして 皆すてけん
つたなき者のならひは 約束せし事を・まことの時は わするるなるべし

通解（意訳）
我ならびに我が弟子達は、いかなる大難があろうとも、法華経を疑う心がなければ、自然に仏界を開く事ができるのである。
法華経を信受していても、諸天の加護がないといって、法華経の功力を疑ってはならない。また、現状が安穏でない事を嘆いてはならない。
我が弟子に朝に晩に、このことを教えてきたが、疑いを起こして、みな退転してしまったであろう。
愚か者の常として、約束したことを大事な時には忘れてしまうのである。


English Gosho
Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood.
Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life.
This is what I have taught my disciples morning and evening, and yet they begin to harbor doubts and abandon their faith.
Foolish men are likely to forget the promises they have made when the crucial moment comes.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
