未だ 見参にも入らず候人の かやうに度度・御をとづれの・はんべるは・いかなる事にや・あやしくこそ候へ、
法華経の 第四の巻には 釈迦仏・凡夫の身に いりかはらせ給いて 法華経の行者をば 供養すべきよし を説かれて候、
釈迦仏の御身に入らせ給い候か 又 過去の善根の もよをしか

通解（意訳）
末だお会いしたこともないのに、このように度度、使いをもってお訪ね下さるのは、いかなることかと不思議に思えてならない。
法華経の第四の巻 法師品には、釈迦仏が凡夫の身に入り替わられて、法華経の行者を供養することが説かれている。
釈迦仏があなたの御身に入られたのか、また、尼御前の過去に積まれた善根があらわれてのことであろうか。

English Gosho
I can only marvel that you so frequently send a messenger to me, when we have never even met.
The fourth volume of the Lotus Sutra states that Shakyamuni Buddha will assume the form of an ordinary person in order to make offerings to the votary of the Lotus Sutra.
Could it be that Shakyamuni Buddha has taken possession of your body, or were your roots of goodness from the past aroused?
