通解（意訳）
智者とは、世間の法（現実社会の道理）から離れて仏法を行ずることはない。世間の治世の法を十分に心得ている人を、智者というのである。
  • 社会を離れて仏法はない
生活上の事象一つ一つが、そのまま仏法そのものです。仏法の智慧の光は、苦悩渦巻く現実の社会の中でこそ輝き、希望となり、勇気となり、安心となります。（中略）
社会を離れて仏法はありません。仏法の慈悲と智慧の力で、社会に貢献し、社会を正しく導いていてこそ真の「智者」です。そして、仏法の英知が発揮された社会は、必ず栄えていくのです。

Every single event on life is Nichiren Buddhism itself.The light of the Wisdom of Nichiren Buddhism is shining, hopeful, courageous and secure in the reality society swaying  by anguish.

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
