何事においても、根本は心こそ大切なのである。
いかに日蓮が、あなた（四条金吾＝弟子）の事を祈ったとしても、あなた自身が信心に不信を起こしているなら、濡れている火口に火を着けるようなものである。
自身を励まして、強盛に信心を奮い起こしていきなさい。

 It is the heart that is important. No matter how earnestly Nichiren prays for you [;Shijo Kingo/Disciples],

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
