通解（意訳）
苦しい時は苦しいままに、楽しい時は楽しいままに、苦しくても楽しくても南無妙法蓮華経と唱えきって、今世の人生を存分に楽しみなさい。

English Gosho
 Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy.
 Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
