此の経を持つ人人は他人なれども同じ霊山へまいりあわせ給うなり、いかにいはんや故聖霊も殿も同じく法華経を信じさせ給へば・同じところに生れさせ給うべし

通解（意訳）
この経を受持する人々は、他人であっても同じ霊山へ参ってまた会うことができるのである。ましてや、故聖霊（南条時光の父・故南条兵衛七郎）も、殿（時光）も同じく法華経を信仰されているのだから、必ず同じ所にお生まれになるであろう。

 Persons who uphold this sutra, though they may be strangers to one another, will meet on Eagle Peak. And how much more certain is it that you* and your late father, because you both have faith in the Lotus Sutra, will be reborn there together!

本文 人に物をほどこせば 我が身のたすけとなる、 譬へば 人のために火をともせば・我が まへあきらかなるがごとし 食物三徳御書 （１５９８頁） 年月不明 通解（意訳） 人に物を施せば、かえって我が身を助けることに繋がる。 例えば、人のために灯をともしてあげれば、自分の前も明るくなるようなものである。 菩薩の心の信心 「人のため」（利他のため）だけを言うと、傲慢になる。「人を救ってあげている」偽善になる。 自分のためにもなっている事を自覚して、初めて『修行させてもらっている』『学ばせてもらっている』という謙虚さが出る。 自他不二です。 人のために尽くしただけ、自分の生命に福運が積まれる。これが『菩薩道』なのです。 - 池田大作 English Gosho  If one gives food to others, one will improve one’s own lot,  just as,  for example, if one lights a fire for others, one will brighten one’s own way. 蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
