日蓮 仏法をこころみるに 道理と証文とには すぎず、

又 道理 証文よりも現証にはすぎず

にちれん ぶっぽう を こころみる に どうり と しょうもん と には すぎず、

また どうり しょうもん よりも げんしょう には すぎず

通解（意訳）

日蓮が様々な宗教の優劣・正邪を判断する際、その宗教の教義や主張に、道徳や人道といった道理にかなっており、普遍妥当性（ふへん だとうせい、条件や時間などにとらわれず、どのような場合にも常に当てはまる性質）があるかを問う「理証」と、

記録または文書などの証拠があり、どの経典や文献を根本としているかを問う「文証」で判断をする以上の方法はない。

さらに、その宗教の正しさが、現実社会や実生活で証明されて、現実を変える力を持っているかを問う「現証」に勝るものない。

In judging the relative merit of Buddhist doctrines, I, Nichiren, believe that the best standards are those of reason and documentary proof.

And even more valuable than reason and documentary proof is the proof of actual fact.

Interpretation (liberal translation) 

When Nichiren Buddhism judges the superiority or evilness of various religions, the doctrines and insistences of the religions called  “Moral Evidence”, such as morals and humanitarianism, and these are universally valid ( it never constrained by the circumstances, conditions, time, etc.),

And the "Literature Evidence" which always applies in any case, the proof that there is evidence such as records or documents, and that it is based on which scripture or document is the basis. There is no other than method.

Furthermore, the religion's righteousness is proven in the real world and in real life, and there is no substitute for the "Reality  Evidence" asking whether it has the power to change reality.
