竜馬につきぬる・だには千里をとぶ、松にかかれる・つたは千尋をよづと申すは是か、各各主の御心なり、
つちのもちゐを 仏に供養せし人は 王となりき、法華経は仏にまさらせ給う法なれば 供養せさせ給いて、いかでか 今生にも 利生にあづかり 後生にも 仏にならせ給はざるべき 
りょうめ に つきぬる・だに は せんり を とぶ、まつ に かかれる・つた は せんじん を よず と もうす は これ か、おのおの しゅ の みこころ なり、
つち の もちい を ほとけ に くよう せし ひと は おう と なりき、ほけきょう は ほとけ に まさらせ たもう ほう なれば くよう せ させ たまいて、いかでか こんじょう にも りしょう に あずかり ごしょう にも ほとけ に ならせ たまわざる べき

通解（意訳）
（故・上野殿は、ただ南無妙法蓮華経の七字を信じて仏に成られた。あなた方もその一族なので、同じように志（こころざし）を果たされるであろう）
竜馬（駿馬、良い馬）にとりついたダニは千里を飛ぶことができ、松にかかったツタは、千尋という高さをよじ登るというのは、このことであろう。あなたがた上野殿（南条家）の一族は、信心強盛であられた故・上野殿（南条兵衛七郎）と同じ志をお持ちであられる。
土の餅を釈尊に供養した人は、のちに国王となった。法華経は釈尊より勝れた法であるから、この法華経に供養された人が、どうして今生でも利益（りやく）を授かる事ができ、後生に仏に成れないはずがあるだろうか。

A man who offered a mud pie to the Buddha was reborn as a king. Because the Lotus Sutra is a teaching superior to the Buddha, having made offerings to it, how could you possibly fail to both enjoy benefit in this lifetime and attain Buddhahood in the next?
