通解（意訳）
（南条時光殿は）だれも法華経の信仰を勧めないのに、心から信仰され、地位の上下に関係なく、あらゆる人から法華経の信仰をやめるように言われても、あるいは諌められても、あるいは脅かされながらも、最終的には信心を捨てる心がなくなっておられる。そして成仏を成し遂げそうになったので、第六天魔王等の魔が、時光殿に病をつけて、信心をやめさせようと脅かしているのであろう。
命は限りがあることであり、少しも驚いてはならない。
