此の法華経の一字の功徳は釈迦・多宝・十方の諸仏の御功徳を一字におさめ給う、
たとへば如意宝珠の如し一珠も百珠も同じき事なり一珠も無量の宝を雨す百珠もまた無尽の宝あり
この ほけきょうの いちじの くどくは しゃか・たほう・じっぽうの しょぶつの おんくどくを いちじに おさめたもう、
たとえば にょいほうしゅの ごとし いっしゅも ひゃくしゅも おなじきことなり いっしゅも むりょうの たからを ふらす ひゃくしゅも また むじんの たからあり

通解（意訳）
この法華経の一字には釈迦・多宝・十方の諸仏の功徳が納められている。
たとえば如意宝珠のようなもので、一珠も百珠も同じ事である。
一珠でも無量の宝をふらすし、百珠にも無尽の宝が具わるのである。

Gosho in English
The benefit of the Lotus Sutra is such that even a single word of it embodies the threefold blessings of Shakyamuni, Many Treasures, and the Buddhas of the ten directions.
To illustrate, it is like a wish-granting jewel. One such jewel is the same as a hundred such jewels. One wish-granting jewel can rain down countless treasures, and a hundred jewels can likewise produce inexhaustible treasures.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
