此法門を日蓮申す 故に 忠言耳に逆う道理なるが故に流罪せられ 命にも及びしなり、然どもいまだこりず候
法華経は種の如く 仏はうへての如く 衆生は田の如くなり

通解（意訳）
法華経の法門を日蓮が申すゆえに、忠告は耳障りに聞こえるのが人間の道理でもあるから、流罪にされたり、命にも及んだのである。しかしながら、私はいまだに懲りていない。
法華経は種のようであり、仏は植え手のようであり、衆生は田のようである。
English Gosho
I have expounded this teaching[;The Lotus Sutra], I have been exiled and almost killed. As the saying goes, “Good advice grates on the ear.” But still I am not discouraged.
The Lotus Sutra is like the seed, the Buddha like the sower, and the people like the field.
法華経の法門を日蓮が申すゆえに、忠告は耳障りに聞こえるのが人間の道理でもあるから、流罪にされたり、命にも及んだのである。しかしながら、私はいまだに懲りていない。
法華経は種のようであり、仏は植え手のようであり、衆生は田のようである。
