凡夫の仏になる又かくのごとし、必ず三障四魔と申す障いできたれば  賢者はよろこび愚者は退くこれなり
ぼんぷのほとけになるまたかくのごとし、かならずさんしょうしまともうすさわりいできたればけんじゃはよろこびぐしゃはしりぞくこれなり

通解（意訳）
凡夫が仏になる時も季節の変化などと同じように、必ず三障四魔という信心を妨げる変化が現れる。その時、信心で乗り越えようとする賢い者はこれを喜び、恐れて信心を捨てようとする愚か者は退いていくのである。

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
