本文 よき弟子をもつときんば師弟・仏果にいたり・あしき弟子をたくはひぬれば師弟・地獄にをつといへり、 師弟相違せばなに事も成べからず 華果成就御書 （９００頁） 弘安元年４月 （１２７８年） 通解（意訳） 師匠がよい弟子を持つのであれば、師弟は共に成仏を成し遂げることができるが、悪い弟子を養うのであれば、師弟ともに地獄に堕ちるといわれている。 師匠と弟子の心が違えば何事も成就することはできないのである。 English Gosho If a teacher has a good disciple, both will gain the fruit of Buddhahood, but if a teacher fosters a bad disciple, both will fall into hell. 本文 父母に御孝養の意あらん人人は法華経を贈り給べし、 教主釈尊の父母の御孝養には法華経を贈り給いて候 刑部左衛門尉女房御返事 （１４０１頁） 弘安３年１０月 （１２８０年） 通解（意訳） 父母に孝養しようとする意志がある人々は、法華経を贈るべきである。 教主釈尊も、父母の孝養のために法華経を贈られているのである。 English Gosho Persons who are intent upon exercising filial devotion toward their parents should therefore send them the gift of the Lotus Sutra.
